I was sick for most of last week and the weekend, but I managed to catch
up on this project a bit this week. It gets dark very early now, so I
don't have a lot of daylight anymore to work on this outside. In any
case, I finished the upper drywall and primed it. That is a tinted
primer, not the final color. You can see the final color in the
previous picture. I also finished skinning the bookcases with the 1/2
oak plywood. The next step is to stain and poly the bookcases, followed
by finishing the face frame, shelves, and the mantle. Once the mantle
part is complete, I'll be ready for the stone work.
