Here is another shot of the Kilauea Iki crater from above. I just finished a 4 mile hike that took me down into and across the crater. From this vantage point, you can clearly see the giant Halema'uma'u Crater steam vent in the distance. It is very big.
Many times, while down in the crater, I felt like a T-Rex was going to come out in the open and eat me!

eek! i can't believe you went IN there!! there prob. WAS a t-rex ghost right behind you, breathing in your ear. hehe.
That's a big hike! I'm sure it was worth it though. I wouldn't hike it, but a piggyback ride would work!
